The Financial Literacy Innovation Program (FLIP) educates historically under-resourced high school students throughout the state of Connecticut on the importance of financial literacy and college/career preparation and readiness. Through interactive learning and exposure to companies and business leaders, students learn the basics and importance of personal finance, budgeting, investing and saving money.

The FLIP program has four main goals:

  1. To educate high school students about personal finances
  2. To help high school students apply this knowledge to inform their college choice decisions
  3. To lower the student loan debt (if any) of students participating in the program
  4. To provide college access and awareness through near-to peer mentoring with current undergraduate
