Scholarship Opportunities

The Business Diversity Office offers several scholarships that are administered by our office; Pratt Whitney Scholarships, Travelers EDGE, Liberty Mutual, Coca Cola SEAL, and Philip and Christine Lodewick Scholarship.

In addition, we also serve as a resource to students regarding potential University scholarships as well as scholarships offered through outside sources. In addition to the information provided on our website, students are encouraged to contact local civic organizations, religious affiliations, high school guidance offices and libraries for possible scholarship opportunities.

AICPA Scholarship Award for Minority Accounting Students

The AICPA Scholarship Award for Minority Accounting Students is one of four awards given through the AICPA Legacy Scholars program that provides financial assistance to outstanding minority students to encourage their pursuit of accounting as a major and their ultimate entry into the profession.

University of Connecticut 100 Years of Women Scholarship

The University of Connecticut’s Women’s Center is pleased to announce the granting of the 100 Years of Women Scholarship Award. The 100 Years of Women Scholarship Fund was established in 1992 to honor a high school senior planning to enroll in the University of Connecticut, or current UConn students who, as a role model or advocate, has advanced the role and contributions of women in society.

The Business Diversity Initiatives Office supports an institutional framework that acknowledges the importance of a diverse community and an inclusive environment. The Business Diversity Office also promotes initiatives and programs that increases awareness, understanding and sensitivity to the needs of all individuals regardless of age, class, physical ability, gender, race, religion or sexual orientation. Our mission is to support and promote an inclusive environment that embraces and celebrates the diversity of all people. The office serves to provide students, faculty, and staff with a cooperative, safe and supportive environment and assists in preparing them with an education that will help them maximize their opportunity to compete in a global economy.
